Since yesterday, Hermitage La Chapelle Jaboulet Aîné 1961 has entered in my cellar.
I had drunk this wine once. It was by a dinner that I organised at restaurant Lucas Carton with Alain Senderens. I had opened three wines of Domaine de la Romanée Conti. Alain came to tell me : "one of my best customers dines alone, and he drinks a Hermitage La Chapelle Jaboulet Aîné 1961. He would be happy to offer you a glass". I said yes, and I offered him a wine of Romanée Conti 1956 and of La Tache 1972.
Now, I have one bottle and it is the new born kid of my "family".
I did not resist to the pleasure to make a family portrait.
Cheval Blanc 1947, Pétrus 1928, Richebourg DRC 1929, Hermitage la Chapelle 1961, Yquem 1921. It should form the basis for a nice dinner. Is not it ?
